The Xiaomi chief recently mentioned that the company will release the Mi 5 flagship sometime after the Chinese New Year, which meant that we won’t get to see the device until at least the 8th of February. A more recent report confirmed that the device will be officially revealed on the 20th of February.
Well now, a retailer in China has jumped the gun and given us all the hardware details of the smartphone ahead of its official release. This has become a common phenomenon in the mobile industry as retailers put up placeholders on their site before the launch of a new smartphone.
So what can we expect from the Mi 5?

A recent rumor talked about Xiaomi releasing separate glass and metal versions of the Mi 5 smartphone with the latter packing 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the glass model is said to be sporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage underneath. Expect there to be multiple tiers of pricing with the Mi 5 in order to attract a wide range of customers.
