According to latest teaser from the brand, Mi 5 could possible become charge-capable via wireless technology.
As you can see, the port visible in the teaser is similar to wireless chargers that are available in the market from varied brands. Also, keeping in mind the evolution of every Mi device, one can’t really discount the support of wireless means to power up the device.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be packing a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, a modified version of the Snapdragon 810 processor, a 16MP camera on the back with 13MP shooter on the front, 4GB of RAM, 16/64GB of internal storage (no microSD card slot), Android 5.0 or Android M both being an option and a 3,030 mAh battery. In the recent weeks, Xiaomi has given the Mi 4 (both variants) multiple price revisions which directly imply the chances of Mi 5 getting priced at similar range.
