In terms of design, the XPS 13 is truly a revolutionary device. It offers UltraSharp QHD+ resolution and has an IGZO2 IPS panel, which provides a viewing angle of up to 170°. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass protection. At 400-nit, its screen is up to 100% brighter than a typical panel. It also boasts of a high color gamut of 72% and a high contrast ratio of 1000:1.
The Dell XPS 13 is powered by Intel Core processors. As per the company claims, it has a run time of 15 hours on the on the FHD display (and 11 hours on the QHD+) that can be extended to 22 hours with the Dell Power Companion. It also boasts of a boot and resume speed of just seconds, which is attributed to the standard solid state drive and Intel Rapid Start Technology.
Dell XPS 13 comes wwith an improved touch pad along with an Accidental Activation Prevention that ensures there are no mis-clicks even if your palm happens to hit the touch pad by mistake. The laptop comes with a standard backlit keyboard.
