Orchard Park, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills’ season comes to a close Sunday with their Week 17 game against the New York Jets.
The game will begin at 1 p.m. on CBS.
While the Bills have been eliminated from postseason contention, the Jets will clinch a spot in the postseason with a win over the Bills. That gives Rex Ryan a chance to play spoiler against the team that fired a year ago.
Ryan and the Bills would have liked for this game to mean a bit more, but the home crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium will take what it can get. Not only does Ryan have a chance to keep his former team out of the playoffs, but Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and offensive coordinator have a chance to beat their former team on the way to their first postseason appearances.
That should be enough intrigue for a Week 17 game that would otherwise be meaningless.
