It’s easy to underestimate the calories you eat.

I’ll admit they taste good, but they don’t offer you anything in nutrition for those extra calories.

Diet soda isn’t a good alternative, either.

Study after study has shown that diet soda is linked to being overweight.

It’s unclear why that may be since it’s basically a no calorie beverage, but the results don’t lie.

5. You’re Not Getting Enough Sleep

Another study result that’s tested and true is that not getting enough sleep can lead to weight gain or at least the inability to lose weight.

Who doesn’t love to eat out?

It’s yummy food and it saves you hours in the kitchen.

But the cost is steep.

Eating out usually isn’t as healthy as cooking at home.

It’s generally higher in calories and fat content.

You can choose to eat light at restaurants but sometimes the temptation is very difficult to resist and you end up making bad choices.

It’s possible that you’ve got an underlying medical issue that’s keeping you from losing weight.

Several conditions can cause that, such as thyroid problems or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

If you feel like you’re really making a strong effort toward losing weight and it isn’t coming off, then it may be time to visit your doctor.
